WELCOME!

A Message from District Governor GARY M SCHRIVER

Elaine and I would like to express our deepest and most sincere appreciation and gratitude to everyone associated with the Lions Clubs of Iowa - District 9NC and all the Lions Clubs and Lions/Lioness and Leo Leaders and Members across the GREAT STATE of Iowa. As the District Governor and his wonderful and stoic partner-in-service, Elaine and I would just like to convey that this marvelous Lions Year is fleeting way too quickly. But, there is still time to accomplish some of those things we were hoping to accomplish at the start of the 2007-2008 Lions Year.

Elaine and I would like to extend a heartfelt and gracious note of thanks to everyone who attended, assisted with, participated in, helped in conducting, donated raffle prizes, provided information for display tables, and overall enjoyed the District 9NC Spring Convention in Clear Lake on March 14th and 15th. We would like to especially thank Lions Clubs International’s Past International Director Randy Heitmann and his lovely partner-in-service –Kathy, from Cambridge, NE for gracing us with their presence, delightful sense of humor, inspiration, and wisdom throughout the weekend.

We would also like to again congratulate the new officers of District 9NC who were elected at the District 9NC Convention in Clear Lake. These new officers include: DGE Judy Hankom, VDGE Don Schwab, Iowa Lions Foundation Trustees: PDG David Dannen-two-year term and Dixie Scherff-one-year term.

Again, Elaine and I would just like to "Thank you!" for all that you have done to make our term in office representing the Lions of District 9NC quite memorable and very rewarding!

Thank you!

Lions District Governor Gary and Elaine Schriver
